Our next Open Office Dialogue is just around the corner!
A purple-coloured poster shows various tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and saws. In large letters it says: **‘PARTICIPATION AS PRACTICE TOOLS & TRANSNATIONAL MODELS ’**. Above: ‘Open Office Dialogues’, below: Event info **‘20 JunE 17:00 - 20:00 @OFFICE ALTMOABIT 21-22’**. The design symbolically combines tools with participatory practice.

This workshop-style exchange will take place in German, but we can organise a whispered German-English translation - please send us an email (merve.degirmenci@urbanepraxis.berlin) so that we can plan this!

All information about the location can be found under the following link: https://www.urbanepraxis.berlin/barrierefreiheit/

In recent years, participation has become a trendy term – too often and incorrectly used or instrumentalised to pursue certain agendas.
But at its core, participation is neither a trend nor a PR strategy – it is a fundamental principle for democratic and sustainable urban design.

In this Open Office Dialogue we would like to deal with participation in the urban context in a practical, reflective and tactical framework.
In an interactive workshop, we want to explore how interactive methods – especially storytelling, visual tools and collaborative formats – can break down barriers to participation, especially for marginalised communities.

Moderator: Zoha Khaleghi
(architect, interdisciplinary urban practitioner, researcher on participatory models)
Date & time: Friday, 20 June, 17:00 – 20:00
Location: Urbane Praxis Büro (Alt-Moabit 21, 10559 Berlin – formerly Schlüsseldienst)
