OPEN CALL PUBLICATIONS

We warmly invite you to become part of the LIVErary with your (self-published) publications on collective urban design and practice and take part in the collective inauguration of the Liverary on March 7. 18-21h at Torhaus Berlin (Columbiadamm 10, 12101 Berlin). We see this as a plattform and an opportunity to come together, present your work and get in touch with other like-minded people.

We explicitly encourage contributions from queer-feminist and intersectional perspectives on collective urban design and practice. We are open to any kind of published and self-published books, booklets, magazines, zines, academic research papers, non-academic writing, articles, essays, manuals, project documentations, leaflets, manifestos, posters, board/card games, etc. Any languages are welcome.

The LIVErary will be open at Torhaus from March 7.-9. 2025 (Friday 18:00-21:00/open end, Saturday 16:00-20:00, Sunday 13:00-18:00). Afterwards it will be accessible in the Network Office of Urban Practice (Urbane Praxis e.V., Alt-Moabit 21-22, 10559 Berlin). The LIVErary is designed as a mobile library, which can be built up easily at different places and accompany different events. If you are interested in temporarily hosting the LIVErary in 2025, please get in touch with us.

Please let us know until 26. February if you would like to contribute to the LIVErary and join on March 7. at Torhaus and what you would like to bring (which/how many publications, in what format), so that we can plan enough space in advance. If you can’t make it for the event, but still want to become part of this endeavour, or if you have further book recommendations on the topic of (queer-feminist/intersectional perspectives on) collective urban design, let us know!
