The Experimental Fellowship with Bauhaus Earth is aimed at practitioners who are developing regenerative, circular, and climate-conscious solutions – contributing
The Experimental Fellowship with Bauhaus Earth is aimed at practitioners who are developing regenerative, circular, and climate-conscious solutions – contributing to a transformative shift in the building sector. The Fellowship provides financial support, mentorship, technical and methodological guidance, as well as access to an international network of research and industry partners. It supports emerging international practitioners and cross-disciplinary teams with applied research experience.
The Experimental Fellowship focuses on regenerative material practices that advance sustainable architecture. It emphasises scientific, rigorous material investigation and its application potential in construction. Working alongside research and industry partners, the Fellows are supported in developing and testing building products and construction assemblies using regenerative materials and low-carbon solutions from regional, natural sources, as well as reusable by-products from construction, industry, and consumer waste. Bridging traditional with contemporary knowledge, the Fellowship advances circular building approaches that can be integrated into existing value chains and construction processes.
The Open Call welcomes project proposals across a range of typologies and scales. The Fellowship supports two Fellows worldwide over a period of nine to twelve months, aligned with project status, feasibility and demonstrated need. It includes a monthly stipend plus project-related expenses and production costs of up to €30,000.
