AtUrbane Künste ERbeLEBEN children and young people learn to help shape the city through art. As part of the program, they can reflect together on their needs, demands and wishes in relation to urban space.
We invite teachers, educators and employees of other educational and cultural institutions from Berlin Mitte and beyond to get to know the work of Urbane Künste ERbeLEBEN on November 22 at 6 pm and perhaps even take the first step towards a possible cooperation.
On the day of the event, participating artists, architects and employees from the cultural administration will be joined by teachers who have been taking part in the program with their classes for several years and will report on their experiences. Various questions will be addressed at the event, for example: How is Urbane Künste ERbeLeben structured and how can classes or groups participate? What is the potential of collaboration between artists and architects and students?. How do organizations such as iCollective e.V. and the educational association Urbane Künste ERbeLEBEN act as a bridge between the various stakeholders?. How can children and young people be an active part of urban design and development?
In 2023, six Berlin schools and over 300 pupils took part in Urbane Künste ERbeLEBEN. The exhibition at the kommunale galerie weisser elefant in Berlin Mitte was visited by the participating classes and many other school and kindergarten groups.
The insights into the work of the education network and the answers to all questions will take place in a relaxed atmosphere, with snacks and drinks in Option Room 3 of Spreefeld, Berlin Mitte.
