Parasite Parking

Parasite Parking, a multifunctional platform the size of a parking lot, attempts to show the various ways in which the space intended for parked cars could be used for the common good.

To this end, parking spaces in Berlin were occupied and used in the summer of 2023 while Jakob Wirth rund lived there around the clock. It has tested various possible uses for parking spaces, concerts, discussions, meeting places – or as living space.

Parasite Parking fights for more accessible and affordable (living) space in the city to create the concept of access to space for all and a vision of a city after the car.
