Well-being & barriers in community engagement – formalised networking tables with impulse workshops
Dear urban practitioners,
We cordially invite you to our excursion: Well-being & Barriers in community engagement – formalised networking tables with impulse workshops of the art education programme Ubuntus e.V. in the Patrice Lumumba Gallery in the Berlin Global Village on the KINDL site.
What?
How much openness to different physical and neurodiverse needs is there in our community project work? Post-migrant and inter-abled – do we offer enough space for this? Why not set up a working group on wellbeing and barrier sensitivity on the KINDL site? It’s about time! We will explore these questions with impulses from contemporary art, illustration and urban project practice in three formalised networking tables with short impulse workshops.
Participation in the event series is free of charge. It welcomes all interested people and organisations – beyond the borders of Neukölln and Berlin, of course!
When?
13 June 2025 Art, neurodiversity & access using the example of municipal project work on contemporary art and urban practice
4 July 2025 Diversity & body in communal project practice with food for thought from contemporary art
17 July 2025 Communication in community engagement & live impulse drawing with Aisha Franz (illustrator of the Ubuntus association flyer)
The networking tables and impulse workshops will take place from 5 pm to 7.30 pm.
Where?

Raum: Patrice Lumumba Galerie

The workshops are held in German spoken language.
If necessary, professional sign language interpreters will be hired. Please write to us!
The event will be organised as barrier-free as possible.
Please let us know what you need. Ubuntus e.V. will endeavour to realise them.
