Noise as a Barrier – White Cane Parade, videos, book release, concert, open-stage.

Blind and sighted people in all gradations report on their actions for World White Cane Day – from last year and for the upcoming October 15.

There are 6,000 blind and 20,000 visually impaired people living in Berlin. Intensive work is being done to create barrier-free cities. However, it is the urban noise that makes it difficult for the blind and visually impaired to orient themselves in the urban space. The goal is to address the issue of noise barriers and to have an impact beyond Steglitz with performative actions.
