Storytelling Café – Memories of the Berlin Prater

Do you remember a pleasant afternoon in the Pratergarten, an entertaining evening at the Pratersaal, or an interesting exhibition at the Galerie am Prater? Does an exciting boxing match or a spectacular show on the open-air stage stand out in your memory? Just as diverse and colorful as the Berlin Prater’s program has always been, so too are the memories of it varied and unique. To ensure these unique stories are not lost, we would like to collect and publish them in our online archive, “Vom Prater aus.” We cordially invite you to contribute to this living archive with your personal experiences in the form of texts and images. On April 22, 2026, between 4 and 6 p.m., we will meet at the Rosencafé of St. Elisabeth-Stift to share our memories of the Berlin Prater following a brief historical introduction. Bring your photos, postcards, and flyers from back then; we will scan them and archive them along with your stories.
