Collaboration is more than just coordination and structure | Launch a new initiative or hold a team retreat
“Working Together” Experiential Workshop Series
Initiatives, organizations, and teams—as well as individuals—can reinvent themselves or gain new insights with the guidance of experienced facilitators. Whether it’s to launch a new initiative or alliance, or as a team retreat.
Term:
- in Berlin: June 29–30 and July 13–14, 2026
- in Munich: July 16–17, 2026
It is also possible to attend just one of the two-day workshops, and participants from other fields are welcome. We do not recommend attending just one day.
What’s happening here
You won’t be bombarded with information. You’ll gain hands-on experience. That’s because we’ll be pursuing two tracks simultaneously throughout the entire workshop:
- Systemic Interactions, Management Methods and Tools
- Work Culture, Collaboration, and Communication
Process: Working groups develop a concrete project in sprints, culminating in presentations to the entire group. At the same time, the workshop uses best practices, reflection sessions, and feedback opportunities to make the dynamics of collaboration visible and open to discussion—and thus changeable. The facilitators (see below for details) always have “how-to” guides on hand for both tracks, which are only introduced when a specific need arises in the project or among the participants. For this reason, there is no “agenda” set in advance.
Contents
Here is a selection of instructions that will be presented as needed—always ready for immediate use and testing:
- Management, e.g:
- Scope, Vision and Purpose, Costs and Resources, Team and Partners, Target Audience/Personas, Knowledge Transfer, Funding
- Work culture, e.g.:
- Fundamentals of Communication, Nonviolent Communication, Effective Meetings, Psychological Safety and a Culture of Learning from Mistakes, Leading Groups Effectively and Facilitating Group Processes, Self-Reflection and Reflection in Teams
What are sprints? Who are the others? Who is the target audience?
- Sprints are short, focused work sessions during which the teams directly implement the instructions. By simulating real-world conditions, a project becomes a reality.
- You can bring your own teammates—or you can find them here, because at BottomUp, connections happen naturally.
- Anyone who works for the common good or is interested in such work is welcome. Participation is free of charge.
What to Bring / Terms and Conditions
- a project you want to carry out together (e.g., an initiative, a grant application, or the new website) or
- A question in the area of “Work Culture, Collaboration, and Communication” (e.g., why do I only experience flow when I feel undisturbed by others and the complexity of the outside world? Or: Why do we so rarely achieve real results in our meetings?)
- Commitment for two days
- No registration fee, plus the opportunity to build on what you’ve already developed in follow-up workshops—all at no cost
