The Initiative Urbane Praxis does not only activate campusses, but also smaller city labs. One of these is the protagonist of this episode.
An open workshop on a church square? For this episode, we went to Spandau’s Neustadt and stopped right in front of the Luther Church to learn more about neighbourly cooperation. Since summer 2019, a former shipping container has been established here as a multifunctional space for local residents. Here, one can build, work, garden and harvest. In addition, this summer, Berlin Mondiale has its fingers (and feet) in the pie and is organising actions and events that take place in this almost-public square.
We visited the offene Werkstatt Lutherplatz (open workshop Luther Square) at the end of June and recorded interviews with the initiators of Open Berlin as well as a reading by Downtown Spandau Medina. Check it out!
