"CoCooN", a place for the preservation of urban, collective and artistic practices in Berlin; Archive Urbane Praxis am Dragonerareal.
CoCooN is a place for researching, testing and mediating the preservation of urban, collective and artistic practices, and at the same time a library and archive space at the Dragonerareal in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Together with actors from theory and practice, we initiate interdisciplinary research on the challenges of preserving contemporary cultural heritage practices and processes. For the Archive of Urban Practice, a mobile module for the collection of materials and a platform for the exchange of the various project participants is being created within the framework of the Baupalast at the Dragonerareal. For the networking of the decentralized knowledge stocks, CoCooN develops experimental mediation formats and thereby also forms an interface to the public memory institutions.
