Who do our cities belong to? Who are the inhabitants of urban environments and who takes decisions about the future of urban space?
The project Organisms Democracy, founded by the artists group Club Real, offers radically new answers to these questions. Since 2019, the urban forest in Osloer Straße between No 107 and No 108 has a new form of species – inclusive regime. All living beings sharing the eco system, from snails to ash maples to root nodule bacteria, have the same political rights. In regularly held Organisms Parliaments, all living beings decide together on the future of their urban forest.
An Ecosystem becomes an Organisms Democracy: political experiment, durational performance, pilot project, neighborhood site
