With its working group Urbane Praxis, the Council for the Arts (Rat für die Künste) launched an initiative, which in 2021 will show the cooperation and action field “Urbane Praxis” with Berlin-based actors in a network of city-wide campus projects. Using examples of various practices, also beyond Berlin, this podcast discusses perspectives and potentials of urban practice and why now is a good time to talk about it.
The current episode is all about:
#21 – (Bade-) Wasser w/ Tim Edler und Stephan Natz
This time we have our foot in the water for a change. Would you swim in the Spree in summer? We were surprised to learn that the water quality of the Spree is actually very good. This is exactly where the “Flussbad Berlin” project comes in: Access to the water by making the fallow Spree Canal in the Fischerinsel area usable. On days when the water quality is not good enough, a filter system could provide a remedy. In this episode, @tommasuki and Heimo Lattner talk to Tim Edler from Flussbad Berlin e.V. and Stephan Natz, press spokesman for Berliner Wasserbetriebe. If, in addition to the Flussbad’s concerns, you are also interested in how the water supply in Berlin is actually organized and when the water infrastructure reaches its limits, then be sure to listen in!
