Golden lion for raumlabor

For two of their Berlin projects and simultaneous sites of urban practice

Installation at Biennale

Congratulations for the well deserved golden lion!

For two of their Berlin projects and simultaneous Urban Praxis sites, the architecture collective was awarded the Golden Lion at this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale.
The Haus der Statistik at Alexanderplatz and the Floating U̶n̶i̶v̶e̶r̶s̶i̶t̶y̶ as a rainwater basin of the former Tempelhof Airport stand for complex forms of self-organization and civil society or scientific-artistic cooperation.
They represent learning spaces that negotiate the question of the right to the city and show that experimental approaches can also be quite realistic – that’s urban praxis!
