We are looking for a motivated colleague (m/f/d) for the network office of Urbane Praxis e.V. in Berlin.

as of 15.09.2023 for approx. 20h/week on a freelance basis

(financed until 31.12.2023, longer if follow-up financing is available)

The operational body of Urbane Praxis e.V. is the network office, in german referred to as “Netzwerkstelle” It supports the membership of the association in networking urban practitioners with each other, as well as with administration and politics, in developing discourse formats, strategies for action and policy proposals together with other intermediary actors in urban politics, Berlin-wide and beyond the city limits. The network office provides urban practitioners with advice, communicates their common concerns in various rounds of urban policy discourse, bundles knowledge and makes it accessible. The network office connects with actors in urban society in order to create synergies and use resources sustainably to achieve common goals.

Your tasks:

Network management and project work (coordination of networking meetings, working groups & as well as networking with other intermediary actors in urban policy)
Communication (with the network, externally, e.g. politics & administration, interface with public relations)
Development and implementation of discourse formats (preparation, implementation, documentation)
Development of strategies for action
Association administration (bookkeeping, membership administration and acquisition)
Network representation (at professional events, lectures, workshops)
Funding acquisition and management (interface with administration)

Experience in dealing with public funding
Good knowledge in the field of urban practice, ideally own project experiencea
Good German and English skills
Good sensitivity to urban dynamics
Skills to initiate and maintain dynamics yourself
