The right to public space

A new bar session ZUM URBAN takes place on 27 May at Haus der Statistik

After the kick-off on 30 March, there will be a new bar session ZUM URBAN at the Haus der Statistik: “Das Recht am öffentlichen Raum” (The right to public space), on 27 May, 19:00-20:00. This time in a small, physical round with a digital live connection with Prof. Dr. Angelika Siehr, Professor of Public Law, International Law, Philosophy of Law and Education Law.
Some years ago, Angelika Siehr already recommended a contemporary reinterpretation of the existing legal framework of public space, which puts the principle of the commons in the foreground and makes clear how public space should function in a democracy. It is possible to read her proposal here.
During the session, following questions will be discussed: how can the legal framework be interpreted for Urban Praxis? And which levers would help you in your concrete projects?
