The ClaimingSpaces Queer_Feminist Glossary was originally thought of by Mo Hartmann and developed by the ClaimingSpaces Collective in the context of their first conference in November 2019 at the Architecture and Spatial Planning Faculty, TU Wien. In 2021, Afaina de Jong was the first Claiming Spaces guest-professor at the TU Wien and for the 17th International Architecture Biennale in Venice, where Afaina de Jong contributed to the Who is We? exhibition of the Pavilion of the Netherlands, they collaborated on an extended version of the glossary. The ClaimingSpaces Queer_Feminist Glossary aims to provide a more accessible, ever-growing vocabulary for the fields of architecture and design to name existing power structures and work towards a language that can facilitate the shaping of spaces of diversity and multivocality. Written by: Claiming Spaces Collective (TU Wien) In collaboration with: Afaina de Jong
