AKTION: SEZ retten!
After just three months of successful interim use of the SEZ for sport and culture under the patronage of the state of Berlin, is it now to be over again?
The electricity and water were turned off in December, then the doors were closed
The rooms of the SEZ are obviously too beautiful to be used temporarily. The WBM even rejects investment projects! Are existing facts to be created by an early start to demolition? It will take many years before construction can begin!
> A building that is undoubtedly needed for the common good would be removed.
> The high cost of demolition would already have financed a good part of the renovation.
> In addition, the development plan adopted in 2018 was merely a vehicle in the legal dispute with the former private owner and lacks any urban planning quality.
> There has never been a competition for this important urban area, only backroom planning. A creative planning process is urgently needed!
Therefore:
+ Five years moratorium and interim use of the fascinating building!
+ During this time, a planning process – a major competition for the urban development future of the site!
